"Everyone was out and about when we went to Festival Mall Alabang--especially after the several days of torrential rains ans storm onslaught. The sun was out and was good to stroll outside. It was a very late lunch when we decided to tey something new in the mall. We saw this restaurant from some reviews and just had to try it out. Was skeptical at first about how the asian fusion will turn out--I mean Laksa and Ramen right? But I was in for a surprise! Two favorite asian food of mine rolled into one--it was full of flavor and the ramen's firmness was just right for me. The spicy wasn't too pweeful even my daughter like the mildness. It wasn't only the Laksa that was good, you should also try their Nasi Goreng, Gyudon and salmon roll. It was all worth it! I noticed their menu was different from those here but might be that they are changing it from time to time. If you're in Festival Mall and wanted to try something new, this might be it for you. Its outside across the landmark drop off area. For the price it might not impress some people but I think it's worth the trip! Thanks to the very thoughtful and accommodating crew as well--top rate service!"

"It was our first time today visiting the newly reopened restaurant. The name may be in Japanese but what they offer were fusions of different Asian dishes which were flavorful, delicious, and have the right serving portions. It was not only a meal to feed our hungry stomachs but also a feast in our eyes on how they presented their dishes. The crew was attentive, accommodating and provided superb customer service which you would hardly experience in most restaurants nowadays. For us, the price was reasonable for the taste of the food, service and experience. We will definitely visit again to try the different dishes on their menu. Looking forward to their seasonal offers if there would be any in the future."

"Their Laksa Ramen is the best Ramen we’ve tasted so far. They also served us chili sauce for the ramen which we really appreciate because we wanted it spicy. We loved everything we ordered. from the Pho Ramen, Salmon Aburi, Green Powerhouse, and Mango Sticky rice :) Ambiance is superb, very high end. Super accommodating din ng mga staff. We will surely come back here!"

"Hidden gem of Festival Mall! This place is truly underrated — I hope it gets the recognition it deserves soon. We heard they’ll be relocating near the Water Garden this November. The food is delicious yet affordable, and the staff are very warm and hospitable. Definitely worth a visit!"

"Discovered Akaigawa through South Snippets, and we decided to celebrate my husband's birthday lunch here. The Miso Glazed starter was a great opening dish—flavorful and satisfying. The Cereal Prawn stole the show for me; it had the perfect crunch and a rich salted egg flavor. We also tried the Poke Bowl, but the sauce was a bit too rich for my liking. The Salmon Aburi was another highlight, with a nice smoky finish, while the Ceviche was just okay. What stood out most was the impeccable service. The staff were so accommodating and even surprised my husband with a mini birthday cake (not just a slice!). Overall, a great experience. Will definitely return for more."

"Great food, great service. 10/10 The food was excellent! We could tell each dish was prepared with passion, technique, and all quality ingredients. All the dishes we ordered made us feel like we travelled across Asia. It’s hard to pick a favorite because everything was that good! The pricing is reasonable tho not too budget-friendly but you’d surely get your money’s worth. From the outside, Akaigawa might look intimidating but the staff will surely make your dining experience comfortable. They were VERY warm and welcoming! Super kind to us and asked us how our experience was after the meal and they also asked us if we had any comments about the food. They were legitimately open to suggestions and improvements. We really love restaurants who listen to their customers and take their suggestions into account. We also liked that we could see the kitchen from the dining area. Overall, it was 10/10 from start to finish. We will definitely come back."

"Went there yesterday and had the Spicy Tuna, Kani Salad, Salmon Aburi Maki, Mala Pork Gyoza, Mango Sticky Rice, and Passion Fruit and Lemon Iced Tea. My friends got the Miso Ramen, Viet Spring Roll, and Laksa Ramen. To start, the pork gyoza wrappers were perfectly crispy and golden-brown, achieving a satisfying crunch with each bite. The mala pork filling was incredibly flavorful and juicy. The texture was a delightful contrast—a delicate, slightly chewy wrapper yielding to the tender, succulent pork within. I was pleasantly surprised. The salmon aburi maki was a revelation! The delicately torched (aburi) fish created a melt-in-your-mouth salmon interior. That burst of umami was truly remarkable—a savory flavor that was perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying. The sushi rice was perfectly cooked, and the presentation was impeccable. The generous serving size was incredibly filling! I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon aburi maki so much that I was already planning my next visit. Next, I had the Kani Salad. Mmm, that crab was so sweet! Seriously, there was an abundance of it, and so tender. The dressing was just right—light enough to let the crab shine, but flavorful enough to make it interesting. The crunch of the veggies against the soft crab was perfect. It was a simple dish, but really well done, and a great transition from the savoriness of the Salmon Aburi Maki. Although I was already quite full, we were so impressed with the makis that we just had to try them all! Unfortunately, the soft-shell crab was unavailable, so we got the Spicy Tuna instead. Having a low spice tolerance, I still thoroughly enjoyed the tuna. I savored the sweet sauce that complemented the savory flavor of the maki. I loved how the raw tuna lingered in my mouth—a delightful chew that built to a perfect finish. Overall, the makis alone are reason enough to go back! The generous serving portions, convenient location, cozy atmosphere, and warm, friendly servers made for a truly nice experience. I felt a little sorry for them; several items we wanted to try were unavailable, and there were very few other customers. I would highly recommend a visit! By the way, we discovered the place through Eatigo, as they offered a 50% discount around 4 pm."

"We had a great time at Akaigawa earlier and are definitely coming back! The service was fast and all the staff waiting on us were warm, welcoming and attentive! Highly recommend the gochujang pork rice - the meat serving was incredibly generous!? I was shocked (and of course delighted) that there was so much in my bowl, and the dish was excellent for me. I wished it was spicier, but we requested some chili oil and all became well. We also really enjoyed the gyoza which I thought was perfect, but the only so-so dish was the mala ramen. It was good and the flavors were there, but it was overwhelmed by being far too salty. We mentioned that to the manager when she asked us about our food and she said she'd give our feedback to the chefs, which was appreciated! Overall a 9/10 dinner. I'll come back here with my family when I can!"
